Great photo showing the spacer car equipped local to Dothan s it prepares to cross the bridge that required the spacer cars. If I remember correctly, trains had to stop before passing over the bridge to make sure it was not turned to allow river traffic through. Great photo. Thanks for posting.

By the way, this was also the era of defered maintenance. The 10MPH speed limit sign was not just for crossing the bridge but also applied all the way to Dothan. This trackage is now 90 pound ribbon rail and is operated by a unit of GWI, The Chattahoochee Bay Railroad.
